Good morning!
If you are on the outer circle today & choosing to participate by posting on the class blog, please adhere to the following expectations:
1. Participate throughout the discussion's duration, posting a minimum of 3 times.
2. Link each question or assertion to a quote from the book that inspired it. Let's practice the skill of defending our thinking & grounding it in text. (If you need an example, see the sample question I posted on the fishbowl syllabi.)
3. Carefully proofread your work. Hey, it's English class.
Feel free to vacillate between this role & joining the inner circle.
Happy discussing!

ReplyDeleteWhy is Amir back in Kabul when he knows Hassan is dead, is it just for the child, or is it something more?
ReplyDeleteI think the Author did described what Kabul was physically like so then that way we can understand Amir's emotions about the town better. I do kind of feel bad for Amir that everything he remembers is gone because his house was different, his town was different, and the people he was with in Kabul were different.
ReplyDeleteDo you think going back to his home he thought Alli for the first time since he was there?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean?
DeleteI think that Amir is in Kabul because he wants to get Hassan's kid to take care of and he just wants to go back to see what is going on with his house and his town.
ReplyDeleteIn what way does Hassan change?

DeleteIf Baba was still alive and Amir found out about all of those lies would Amir forgive Baba or would he not like him anymore?

ReplyDeleteOn page 192 What does Amir mean by “A way to be good again”? What is he inferring to in the book?
ReplyDeletedoes amir deserve a chance at redemption
ReplyDeleteWhen Amir is standing on the soil where he Hassan used to fly kites, why do you think all of a sudden it feels like home again?
ReplyDeletethats me
DeleteIf Baba was still around and he came back to Kabul with Amir what would he think of the conflicts that were going on? What would Baba think about the situation with Hassan and Ali? What would Baba think about how his town and his house changed.
ReplyDeleteDo you think by going t help hassan's son he has changed or it'sonly because of other influences
ReplyDeleteWhat is the motif with cars?
ReplyDeleteI think that if Amir would've went back to Afghanistan a few years earlier or even got on the phone with Hassan he could've apologized for everything that he has done to Hassan in his childhood and then they would probably forgive each other.
ReplyDeleteWhy didnt want his wife to go with him?
ReplyDeleteAMirs wife ^^^
DeleteIf Baba showed more affection towards Hassan, then why did Baba not let Hassan live in the main house?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think "Youre a tourist in your own country" means
ReplyDeleteBaba probably did not like Amir because he told all of these lies and never admitted the truth. Baba was probably only pretending to like Amir and probably had more respect for Hassan.
